Pennsic War 46
Join us for Pennsic War 46 from July 28 – August 13, 2017 Pennsic is an annual event, in the guise of a “War” between the Kingdoms of the East and the Middle, hosted by the Kingdom of Æthelmearc. Pennsic is also the largest SCA event, with attendance in recent years exceeding 10,000. The scheduled activities include large melee battles, tournaments, archery, stage performances, dancing, and hundreds of classes on medieval topics. Trial by Fire / Lochmere Arrow
Trial by Fire/Lochmere Arrow is returning to Bright Hills September 8-10. Archers will vie for the coveted Lochmere Arrow. The bards will keep all entertained. Plus, this year is the 20th anniversary of the Trial By Fire cooking competition, so the cooks have some special competitions planned. Camping is available and there will be a potluck Saturday night. Chesapeake Celtic Festival
Check out our encampment at the Chesapeake Celtic Festival on October 7th and 8th at Furnace Town and experience arts, crafts, fighting in armor, music, language, and even a joke or two. The Shire of Spiaggia Levantina has participated in the Chesapeake Celtic Festival since its inception.
Harvest Wars
Hear the beat of the war drums, Atlantia’s borders are under threat of invasion! The summer is over and the harvest is in – now is the time to raid your neighbors bounty. An invitation is extended to Aethelmearc, Kingdom of the East and Atlantia to come and enlarge their own harvest by raiding their neighbors. Atlantian 12th Night – Palio de Atlantia
Join us at the estate of Abigail il cigno, known as the Founder’s Inn, contained within the boundaries of the Barony of Marinus, for a grand festival to be known as the Palio de Atlantia (Atlantian 12th Night) to be held on the 13th day of January, 2017. String Thynge
Join us for a day of all things string! Beyond tying packages, string comes in many forms. Consider: silk, and linen, and wool, in spinning, or weaving, or sewing, or embroidery. Then there is “string” of metal for jewelry and other adornments. String is also found in music and in archery. Think of the possibilities! Count on comestibles (dayboard), classes, and Court. Feast of Fools
The Shire of Roxbury Mill, raucous and ribald in its revelry, invites one and all to the third annual Feast of Fools on January 20, 2018, from 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation, Rockville, Maryland.
